For Immediate Release

Toilet Guardian is an electronic water saving device that shuts off water to the toilet when a leak or overflow is detected. Emergency or cost savings, this automatic shut off valve saves water and stops water damage. The first generations were commercial and sold directly to hospitals, senior living facilities and municipalities. Now for the first time, they are available to the public.

The basic design of a toilet carries with it several inherent problems. A clogged toilet will obviously overflow, but toilets often leak, unnoticed, wasting hundreds and even thousands of gallons per day of drinking water. Look up the number one cause of high water bills and, even the EPA agrees, it is the toilet. Small ‘silent’ leaks can waste hundreds of gallons per day and stuck open flappers or fill valves can waste thousands of gallons per day. The Toilet Guardian stops the loss.

The eco-smart valve easily attaches between the water supply line and the tank. Two small sensors work in tandem or separately to completely surround the toilet with protection from tank to bowl. Flapper and fill valve leaks, stuck flappers, rusted bolts, cracked tanks and especially clogged toilets; they are the same to the Toilet Guardian-problems.

“The Toilet Guardian is state of the art and the industry response has always been great. However, what we need now is the public to get excited about the product. With the rising cost of water it seems like the natural transition. While eliminating overflows is great, the water savings is phenomenal.” - David M. Parrish, Chief Operating Officer

What if All U.S. Toilets were flushed at the same time? BOOM The end of the world as we know it?

Apparently there would be a few noticeable challenges such as an apartment building that might backup a bit. There would be a few issues but it would not be the end of the toilet world as we know it.

Since water is being held in the tank pre-flush, the bigger problem would be refilling the tanks all at once. All the low water pressure, it might take a bit of time.

An overflowing toilet is an incredibly annoying event that can be quite disgusting. While the overflowing toilet is the most obvious problem, it may not be the most damaging. The vast majority of toilet issues involve less obvious “silent leaks.” The Toilet Guardian can stop both the overflow problem as well as the less noticeable issues to help save money and conserve water.

Most toilets leak at some point. You may have noticed an outrageous rise in your water bill or heard that annoying “hissing” sound that you choose to mostly ignore. More commonly there will be no obvious sign of a problem, which is why it is known as a silent leak. The problem is that this is drinking water leaking from your toilet, and you are paying for it.

Most likely it’s a leaky flapper or perhaps a mis-adjusted floater ball. More seriously it could be a broken fill valve, which will require a plumber. Whatever the reason, in those few days that you choose to ignore the leak easily hundreds if not thousands of gallons of water have been wasted.

According to American Leak Detection a leaking toilet can waste as much as 90,000 gallons of water over the span of a month. And that wasted water can add $500 to your annual bill1. The Toilet Guardian solves these problems by simply shutting down the water flow into the tank based on excess use.

The Toilet Guardian is a third-generation smart valve attaches between the water supply tube and the tank with two sensors, one in the tank and one in the bowl. The Toilet Guardian monitors changing water levels in the tank and bowl and will shut off the water if any excess water loss occurs.

3. Also… according this site, the average cost per gallon across the US is $0.002. (“In Denver, Colorado and Phoenix, AZ, tap water costs about $.001 per gallon. In Tucson, AZ, tap water costs about $0.0025 per gallon. It Pittsburgh, PA, Washington, DC, Boston, MA, and other east coast cities, water costs around $.001.
That would mean 14 days X 24 hours X 60 minutes X 2 gallons = 40, 320 gallons.

At .002 cents per gallon, that comes to $80.64.

Breakdown of your water bill. (South Holland, IL)

$4.06 per 1,000 gallons for next 100,000 gallons.

Refuse = $21.37 per month.

Saving Water , Saving Energy (Monolake, CA)

Saving Water also saves energy.

6.5% of the energy used in the state of California is for pumping and treating water—in fact, pumping water south (and uphill) in the State Water Project accounts for 2–3% of all the electricity used in the state. And for your personal energy bill, using less hot water saves on water heating. On the flip side, saving energy and using alternative energy saves water—electricity production from fossil fuels and nuclear energy is responsible for 39% of all freshwater withdrawals in the nation.

Why Conserve?
Water conservation is the most cost-effective and environmentally sound way to reduce our demand for water. (Note from AOT: It saves $$ too.)

Toilet Overflow are the most annoying and embarrassing events to any home owner. What about if you’re visiting someones home? ACK!

Toilet Guardian actually solves this problem before it happens. The unit connects to the valve at the back of the toilet while 1of 2 sensors is located in the bowl. When the unit senses an overflow is about to happen the unit actually shuts the water off at the source stopping the annoying overflow.

The system also will shut off the water when there is a silent leak. Once the unit inside the tank senses a inconsistent pattern from a stuck open flapper or a leaking flapper then the unit will also shut off the water.

When you look around at preventive solutions, look no further and please feel free to share this post and look around the website.

Let us know what you need to know to make a decision. Your feedback can help us

We have created a device that saves a lot of water. The Toilet Guardian solves many of the inherent and accepted flaws of traditional toilets. Most notably the ‘Silent Leak’, that sound you may or may not hear, the ‘hissing’ is drinking water being wasted.

This video is part of the education process that we hope will stop the acceptance of millions of gallons of drinking water being wasted.

The Toilet Guardian is an electronic water valve that reads the changing water levels in the tank and bowl then shuts off the water to the toilet when a problem is detected.

It only takes minutes to install. Simply turn off the water to the toilet, remove the fill line from the fill valve, attach the Toilet Gurdian to the fill valve, reattach the fill line, turn the water back on and your toilet is operational again. Next install the small bowl sensor to the seat bolt for overflow protection. Last hang the tank sensor in the tank for leak detection and you are ready to start saving money and protecting your property. In under 10 minutes your protection is complete.

The system comes in three models:

1. TG 1000 A -offers complete protections including bowl overflow elimination and water conservation

2. TG 1000 B – bowl overflow elimination only.

3. TG 1000 T – water conservation and leak detection only.

Go right to the AquaOne Library to download and view Toilet Guardian Install Specification Sheets. Guides, User Manuals, Videos and more are also available for viewing and downloading.

How Does the Toilet Guardian Work?

A single float sensor rests quietly and unobtrusively inside the toilet tank and monitors for toilet leaks 24 hours a day. When any type of leak happens, the Toilet Guardian will shut off the water then alerts the user of the problem with an audible alarm as well as an easy to understand icon displayed on the integrated LCD screen. A second sensor can be attached under the toilet seat that senses a potential bowl overflow and shuts off the water supply to the tank. No more water, no possibility of an overflow and no water on the floor.

It’s so easy to install you don’t need a plumber…And it runs on a single lithium battery that doesn’t need replacing for over 3 years !

    by AquaOne Technologies

Sorry everyone, it’s out of stock!! *(But read and scroll down for the story, pictures and downloads.)

The Fish ‘n Flush concept came from a little fun we were having while we were designing and launching our flagship product, the Toilet Guardian. It’s a long way from little fishies swimming around in a toilet tank but the funny story is, the Toilet Guardian actually is the reason for the Fish ‘n Flush.

While we were inventing, designing and finally (whew) building a device to stop water waste from the MOST WATER WASTING household appliance…we used a clear tank. So one day while we were having a design review (that’s a geeky, engineer term for ‘Oh, oh..it’s not working!) we thought “Wouldn’t it be cool to flush our clear tank and have fish in it that don’t go down the drain?”. Well, our geeky engineers are quite brilliant and more than a little crazy and they went home that night and designed one. The Whimsical, Nautical Wonderland for Your Bathroom.

Then we made a prototype and hid it in our design lab until one day a REALLY BIG COMPANY came to visit us. The President, Vice President and all the President’s men laughed and laughed. Then they ask us to bring it to their trade show, just for fun.

We were the hit of the trade show. And then we took our one, little toilet tank aquaium to another trades show. Soon we were on the Tonight Show, the Today show, Regis and Cathy and featured in hundreds of magazines around the world. So we made a couple thousand, sold a couple thousand, made millions of people laugh and smile and shake their heads.

We didn’t want it to be but we had to. The most fun we have EVER had is over (MAYBE)**. You see, we are a technology company and our motto is Save Water, Save the Planet so that is what we are trying to do…one toilet at a time. (Did you know the US has over 1 billion toilets?)

And now the only Fish ‘n Flush left in our company is the one on OUR toilet. NO, you can’t have it. It still makes our visitors laugh and smile and shake their heads. We love our toilet fishies and while they have no feelings for us whatsoever, they are still ours.

**If you want to be put on our waiting list just send us an e-mail at fishnflush@aquaone.com Once we get OUR little fishies in a row, we may just make some more. In the meantime, for all those who have a Fish ‘n Flush, click on the links below page for old downloads or continue scrolling down to view some fun tank designs. In the meantime, check out our real calling, the Toilet Guardian. With that, we guarantee that with that you will save enough money (water) to make your fun stuff.

Happy Flushing, Doree

The first year water bill was about one third the pre-renovation average. The second year the water bill has risen substantially. By the third year, water use was back up to it’s pre-renovation levels. Average occupancy was within 2% year to year. We were called back to “fix” the problem. After several months and ten of thousands of dollars of testing, the problem came down to leaky toilets. Dan H., Plumbing Contractor

The unit is easy to install and does NOT require a plumber. Simply remove the water supply line from the toilet, attach the Toilet Guardian ceramic auto-shutoff valve to bottom of the fill valve, reattach the water line and your toilet is back in operation. The two independent sensors act together to eliminate toilet overflows and save water. Use one or both. Comes in three different configurations: Elite, Overflow Protection Only or Water Conservation Only.
